The second question overseas brands always ask — after the one about styles — is the practical one: “How does this actually work?”
The answer is simpler than most people expect. The process is identical to a domestic order. Only three things change: who arranges the shipping, who pays for it, and how long the goods are in transit.
What does not change
Start with what stays the same, because this is the part most often misunderstood.
The MOQ is the same. Still 2 kodi (40 pcs) per colour per style, for ready stock and private label alike. We do not apply a separate export minimum. For custom production from scratch, it is 2 fabric rolls per colour.
The sample policy is the same. Rp 300,000 commitment fee, credited in full to your first PO.
The payment stages are the same. Staged bank transfer: 30% deposit, 50% after sample approval, 20% before shipment. We do not ask for full payment upfront.
The production lead time is the same. About 6 weeks for custom production once the sample is approved.
What changes: the shipping
International shipping is arranged through our courier partner rather than left to you. There are two options:
Air — faster, more expensive per kilogram. It makes sense for samples, urgent restocks, or smaller volumes that need to hit the market quickly.
Ocean — cheaper, slower. Once your volume is large enough, the cost difference becomes significant and the extra time pays for itself. Most brands that order regularly end up moving their main production to ocean freight while keeping air for samples.
Transit runs roughly 7 days to Malaysia and Singapore.
What changes: who carries the cost
We work on FOB terms. Freight is billed to you separately rather than hidden inside the product price.
That is a deliberate choice. When logistics costs are folded into the per-piece price, you can no longer compare our unit price against another factory fairly — and you cannot see how much you are paying for goods versus how much for delivery. Kept separate, both are visible.
The practical consequence: when you model your margin, freight is its own line in your books. For larger volumes moving by ocean, that number is usually far smaller than people expect.
The full process
- Tell us what you need. Styles, quantities, target market. WhatsApp is fastest.
- Send references. Photos, a physical sample, or a tech pack. Or choose from our catalogue.
- Sample made and shipped. Rp 300,000, credited to your first PO. Sent by air for speed.
- You approve. From wherever you are — no visit required.
- 30% deposit, production starts. About 6 weeks for custom.
- QC and packing. Goods are checked, then packed individually under your brand.
- Balance paid, then shipped. Our courier partner handles the freight.
Why “ready to sell” matters more on export orders
For domestic clients, retail-ready packing saves time. For overseas clients it is worth considerably more.
If goods arrive loose, you have to sort, check, label and repack them — in your country, at your country’s labour cost. For a smaller brand, that work can consume the entire price advantage you gained by producing in Indonesia in the first place.
Our goods leave the factory already QC’d and already packed individually with your brand’s label. When they reach your warehouse they go straight onto the shelf, or straight out to the buyer.
Before you start
If you are not yet sure which styles suit your market, read how Indonesian and Malaysian taste differ first — picking the right styles moves your result far more than negotiating the unit price.
Which markets we already serve is set out on the export markets page. Starting prices per kodi, MOQ and payment stages are on how to order. When you are ready, get in touch and tell us the destination country.
